This is a hardcover book titled "The Many-Colored Land & The Golden Torc" by Julian May. Published by Nelson Doubleday in 1982, bookclub edition. 748 pages.
The year is 2010, and Earth, as usual has it share of square pegs that won't fit into round holes. But now, thanks to Theo Guderian, there's a haven for them: a one-way time warp that opens into the Rhone Valley 6 million years ago. But they cannot know that other exiles had beaten them to the world of Pliocene Europe. A fast-moving, gripping story of a new civilization at the start of time, ant it's alien conquerors.
The book is in very good to excellent condition. There is some edge soiling. The dust jacket is intact and clean with some minor tears and rubbing at the top around the spine area. Inside the pages are still tight, clean with very slight tanning. There are no binding creases but some bumping. An excellent reading copy.
